Class Descriptions - Intro to Lionflow
This class is a taste of the Lionflow Yoga. It is composed of the same core structure as the other classes, but was built with beginners to yoga in mind. Variations of the series, and postures that were developed for Parkinson’s, transplant patients, and students with limited range of motion in the spine are used. This is to help even the most afflicted students achieve a broader range of motion, better focus, balance, flexibility, and strength. It also helps the new student try a wide range of postures safely, and helps all students from beginner to advanced release tension for deeper stretching. This class will leave all students feeling rejuvenated, and circulated for a calmer, healthier day.
Flow 1 This class gets you ready for the more advanced classes. While still using some of the more gentle movements from the Intro class, some more difficult series are sewn into the flow of class. This takes the workout deeper into your bone & muscle structure giving you hints of both your potential & obstacles left to overcome.
This class is particularly good for students with discomfort in backbends & forward stretches. By trying many variations of backbends & forward stretches that accommodate your range of motion, you will build more comfort in your range of motion. This will allow for the beginning of deeper stretching & compressing keeping your safety in mind. Qi-gong is also sewn into the warm up of this class to warm up the body internally for deeper stretching. Flow 2 This class is more challenging, but not outside your potential if you can practice without forcing anything. True power comes from setting your ego aside, and moving with intention. The same core structure remains in this class, and every series is intensified. The true meaning of progressive yoga becomes apparent.
There is even a short & long form of this class allowing room for your intensity to grow. This class will help you learn to move more efficiently to conserve your energy so that you will have it when you need it, but will also teach you to call up more energy in a moment than you ever thought yourself capable of. My mission in this class is to take you from burning energy to creating more. One Limb Class This class is to help athletes achieve flexibility, and for the usual practitioner to grow extraordinary strength. The main focus is the one limb series that comes in the middle of class. The warm up is intensified to get you ready for the one limb poses, and warm up by itself is a challenge for any athlete. The one limb series purpose is to both test & progress what each limb of the body can do with all of the body weight on it.
The benefit of practicing one limb poses, even in their beginning stages before you can achieve them, is the massive rush of circulation through each limb of the body, and the weight of the body on one limb at a time has potential to stretch & strengthen deeper parts of the joints & muscle structure. For athletes this can help open up joints bound by muscle, and for everyone to build limitless strength in each limb, and its connection to your core, spine, and breath. More breathing techniques are also used in the warm down to help bring the heart rate down after accelerating it during the one limb series. As well deeper stretches are explored while the body is open, and the circulation is still high. This class is particularly good for fighters to increase the impact of your contact in punches & kicks, and as well to protect your joints from the usual fighting injuries. The mission of this class is to open your eyes wide to your true potential. Prices -
